MORNING CLASS

Can Fulfill Requirements for
U.S. History*, American Literature*,
US Government

This project can fulfill requirements for the above subjects, but it is so much more.
Students will learn about the purpose of government, world crisis and personal and family choices, leadership, war, pestilence, betrayal, statesmanship, how to survive during difficult times, public virtue, the traits of a hero, and more.
They will study the founding of America and gain an in-depth experience with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They will be inspired and encouraged to memorize the Declaration of Independence, and most do! This is an immersive experience into the American Revolutionary War period, the founders of our nation and our founding documents.
(*If your student needs to meet High School outline requirements for the core classes U.S. History and American Literature, we can make sure we meet them if you communicate that to the mentors and your student takes both this class and Georgics in the afternoon)
Lunch
11:30-12:30
AFTERNOON CLASS
12:30-2:30 Georgics (Foundations of Liberty)
Can fulfill requirements for:
Home Economics, Economics, Culinary Arts, Naturalist Studies, Nutrition, Independent Project, Life Skills, Finance, Business, U.S. History & American Literature*

The word Georgics comes from an ancient Roman Poet who wrote about agricultural life, and how to have a society based on liberty and freedom. The Georgic lifestyle is vital to maintaining liberty and the privileges that come with it.
In a world of instant gratification it will also help your child experience the satisfaction that comes from working hard. Students learn the power of being reconnected to the earth and the value both of community and self-reliance. They will read several classics that take place in an agrarian setting that will teach them about the growth and rewards that comes from hard work.
They will learn principles that are necessary to a free society like: mission, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, self-validation, community stewardship, interdependence, real estate ownership, and more.
A strong emphasis is placed on the power of spiritually creating (i.e planning) and then bringing that plan to fruition. Students will create a project such as growing a garden, raising bees or poultry, building a picnic table, or whatever they and their mentors decide.
(*This class is necessary in combination with Key of Liberty if you want 4L to cover the HS requirements for American Literature and U.S. History)
